International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia
Our usual flag-raising ceremony will not take place this year due to the prohibition on public gatherings. But the Mayor’s Office has confirmed that they WILL still be raising the flags, and they will continue to fly throughout the Victoria Day Weekend, until Monday.
We will miss gathering to watch the flag raising, and the usual speeches that accompany the event. But may it warm your heart to know the flags are flying at Toronto City Hall to commemorate the continued struggle against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. Events ordinarily take place around the world to mark this day. The IDAHTB website describes what’s happening in many countries.
