IDAHTB 2019 – May 17th, 12pm
Please join Toronto Pflag families at Toronto City Hall!

It’s that time again!  Toronto Pflag will recognize the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia on May 17th, 2019 at noon (12pm) at Toronto City Hall by raising the rainbow and trans flags on the podium roof flag pole.  We also will feature the bi flag on our podium.

Toronto Pflag volunteers request and warmly welcome the Honourable Mayor John Tory to read the 2019 Proclamation at 12pm.   Our special guest speaker this year is Noah Sparrow, a young trans high school student, who will share his story about transitioning while witnessing a rollback of the 2015 Health & Physical Education Curriculum within schools.  A vital tool that educates students on gender identity.  Noah will talk to the 2019 IDAHTB theme: “Justice & Protection for All” via actions he’s taken to ensure justice and safety prevail for himself and LGBTQ students within Toronto and across the Province.  Comments will also be provided by Toronto Pflag parent and volunteer Giselle Bloch and Toronto Pflag President, Anne Creighton.
