The Pride Toronto Street Fair is a huge celebratory event that takes place every year in June in the Church & Wellesley area. Several streets are shut down to traffic, and the whole area is alive with people, marketplace booths, food trucks, music performances, and community events.
Toronto Pflag hosts a booth in the Community section, which has moved in 2019 to Church Street just south of Carleton. Stop by (11am-5pm Sa/Su) and talk with us there to learn more about our organization, or to talk to a volunteer.
A highlight of the weekend is the huge parade that travels south on Yonge Street from Bloor to Dundas. The crowds are huge, so if you want to watch, arrive early to claim a spot. If you are marching with Toronto Pflag, feel free to stop by our booth in advance to pick up a sign, or just meet at the starting point (on Bloor east of Church).
Toronto Pflag will also have a contingent in the Trans March on Friday evening. Rally at 7pm, March starts at 8pm. This event is less crowded and less formal, and lots of fun! Meet up around the intersection of Church and Hayden (just south of Bloor) and look for a volunteer holding a Toronto Pflag sign.
