Celebrate Pride with Toronto Pflag!

Fri June 24 - Pride Weekend: Trans Community Fair, Trans March & Trans Cheering Station (In-Person)

Below are the details for Toronto Pflag's participation at Trans Pride on Friday, June 24th.

We hope to see you all at the Trans Community Fair and marching with us in the Trans March!

Trans Community Fair: 3:00-6:30 pm
Where: Allan Gardens, Sherbourne and Carlton
Community Fair where trans vendors and trans organizations exhibit their ware and discuss their services. Come meet Toronto Pflag's trans femme and nonbinary support team and other friends and take some selfies!

Marshalling for Trans March: 6:20-6:40
Where: Allan Gardens, Sherbourne and Carlton
Meet us at the Trans Community Fair and we'll form up and walk up to the Trans Rally and Trans March start at Church and Hayden. We will have a banner, and trans and nonbinary flags. Lots of selfies will be taken for those who want to participate.

All transfemme and nonbinary attendees, family, and friends are welcome to march with us, as are Pflag trans/nonbinary kids and parents/family members.

Trans Rally: 7:00 pm
Where: Church and Hayden
Come hear leading trans speakers on Trans Pride and trans issues

Trans March: ~7:45-8:00 pm
Where: Church and Hayden
We'll march up to Bloor, over to Yonge, down to Carlton, and back to Allan Gardens. Come march with ~10K trans and nonbinary folk, their families, friends, and allies.

This amazing event is the Guinness World Record holder for biggest Trans March.

Want to join our Cheering Station instead?

Not all Pflag-ers can walk the Trans March. This year, Pflag families will also show love to the marchers as they make their way down Yonge St by organizing a cheering station on the east side of Yonge St in front of the Wendy's/Courtyard Marriott just north of College St. The cheering station will be in place at 7pm on the evening of Fri June 24 to cheer on members of our Trans and Nonbinary community. No registration required -- just show up! Marchers will come by some time after 8:15.

Sat June 25 & Sun June 26 - Pride Weekend : Streetfair Booth (In-Person)

Come visit Toronto Pflag’s booth at Toronto Pride! This year our double-booth will be located at the corner of Church St. and Wood St. (Booth H11 & H12)

Stop by and say hello in-person at the Pride StreetFair which hosts a multitude of vendors, artisans and community organizations during Festival Weekend.

We look forward to being together again, celebrating and commemorate, and promote our community!

Sun June 26 - Marching in the Pride Parade with Toronto Pflag

Our Toronto Pflag marching contingent is aiming to line up near Jarvis and Bloor at 1pm on Parade Day.

This year Pride Toronto asked for the complete marching contingent to check-in together (which seems like a big feat) but we are aiming to be as a group around 1pm. However, late-joiners can generally find us as we taxi/stage/wait before Parade Time starting at 2pm. Generally, year-over-year Pflag is placed in the line just east of Church on Bloor (between Church St and Ted Rogers Way, really). Look for our logo placards, as we attempt to keep those signs in the air for those looking for us.

Bring water, sunscreen and a hat if it's sunny.

PS - If you want to wear one of our official Toronto Pflag purple sashes or carry a placard in the parade, please stop by our Toronto Pflag double-booth which will be located at Church St. and Wood St. from 11:30am onward, before the parade. (Booth H11 & H12)

Also, back by popular demand, our volunteer Haru is back to help Glitterize Parade-Goers for a small donation. Come to our booth on Sunday to get your Glitter On!
